Hand off a research task

Ask Cortex to compare options and keep researching after your conversation ends.

Before you start: Open Cortex and start a conversation. Enable notifications if you want an alert when your research is ready.

  1. Describe the decision

    Explain what you are comparing and what matters: location, budget, timing, or other requirements.

    “Compare beginner pottery classes in Boston for next weekend. Include prices, schedules, and whether materials are included.”

  2. Add the details that matter

    Answer any follow-up questions and refine the request. Wait for Cortex to confirm that it has started the research task before ending the conversation.

  3. Come back to the findings

    Once the background task has started, you can hang up. Open Cortex to check the task and read the result, or use the notification when it is ready.
